I’m a woman who loves motorcycle adventures. I’m an American who Motorcycled solo to Sweden in the summer of 2017. This was my first long-distance motorcycle trip, covering over 10,000 miles in 35 days. I started in Seattle, Washington and ended in Stockholm, Sweden. The first thing I did was choose a comfortable and reliable motorcycle. I settled on a BMW F 800 GT. I then outfitted my bike with all the luggage I would need for the trip. This included saddlebags, a tank bag, and a tail bag. I also made sure to pack plenty of warm clothing, as I knew I would be riding in some cold weather.I started my journey by heading north into Canada. I rode through the Canadian Rockies, which was an amazing experience. The scenery was incredible and the riding was challenging. I then made my way across the Canadian Prairies. This was a long, flat stretch of road, but it was interesting to see the different small towns along the way. After a few days in Canada, I crossed into Alaska. This was by far the most challenging part of the trip. The roads were often unpaved and full of potholes. The weather was also very unpredictable. I had to deal with rain, snow, and strong winds. But, it was all worth it when I reached the Arctic Circle. This was a truly unique experience. After spending a few days in Alaska, I made my way into Canada again. I rode through the Yukon and into the Northwest Territories. This was some of the most beautiful scenery I’ve ever seen. The mountains, lakes, and forests were simply breathtaking. Finally, I reached the Arctic Ocean. I took a ferry from Canada to Sweden and then rode down the coast to Stockholm. This was an amazing experience. I saw some incredible scenery and met some great people along the way.Overall, I had an incredible time on my motorcycle journey to Sweden. I saw some amazing places and met some great people. If you have the opportunity to do something like this, I highly recommend it.
