I’ve been motorcycle touring for years, but this was my first time taking my bike on a longer journey. I’d been wanting to ride to New York for a while and finally took the plunge last summer. The trip took a little over a week and was mostly uneventful, but it was an amazing experience.I started in my home state of Connecticut and rode up through Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont. The scenery was beautiful and the roads were mostly empty. I was able to make good time and stopped for the night in central New York.The next day brought me into the city. Riding through New York is always an experience, but this was the first time I’d done it on a motorcycle. It was a little nerve-wracking, but I made it to my destination safely.I spent a few days exploring the city before heading back home. I’d never been to New York before, so it was great to finally see it. The trip was a great success and I’m already planning my next journey.
